There is not much more I could say that hasn’t already been said about this book. Bryan Stevenson’s true story is genuinely compelling and inspiring. His memoir focuses on how his experiences as a lawyer and his fight for justice. It’s an incredible and powerful read that is filled with raw and real stories that are eye-opening.
“I turned off the radio station, and as I slowly made my way home I understood that even as we are caught in a web of hurt and brokenness, we’re also in a web of healing and mercy. I thought of the little boy who hugged me outside of church, creating reconciliation and love. I didn’t deserve reconciliation and love in that moment, but that’s how mercy works.” -Bryan Stevenson
